Laura is hosting a one-time celebration at Bengel Wildlife Center in Bath, MI, because there’s no time like the present to gather friends and family.
Laura continues to navigate metastatic breast cancer gracefully and with determination, and we are not going to wait for a better moment to all get together and have a party. The day will be filled with art, nature, drinks, games, dancing, and great food. Nothing about this party will be maudlin, and there will be no photo montages or speeches.
Come dressed in vibrant colors ready celebrate life and love with Laura among the autumn leaves!
Weekend Extras
Saturday Pre-Party
To get the party started, out-of-town guests and locals alike are invited to a pre-party dinner on Saturday evening, October 10, from 6pm - 8pm at PF Chang’s in Eastwood Towne Center (conveniently located in the same complex as our party hotel, Homewood Suites by Hilton).
Sunday Afterparty
And if you’re still standing after the Sunday Bengel celebration, join us for a potential afterparty at Art and Jake's Sports Bar and Grill from 10:00 PM to midnight.

Learn about the local ecosystems, birds, and conservation work happening at Bengel from a local biologist.
Each (optional) hike will take about an hour; dress appropriately for the weather if you're interested.

Mix and Mingle
6:00 PM – Dinner Party
Food from around the word: Pizza Buffet, Taco Bar, and Thai Food with plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options.
